Scouts Falls is a beautiful natural experience with a moderately challenging 1.1km bushwalking track, located off Sherwood Creek Road.
The waterhole offers crystal clear swimming at the bottom of the falls and it’s possible to climb under the falls from the water. The falls are free-falling from about 10m above, plunging into a deep pool below.
Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the challenging rock-hopping walk, but remember to take your rubbish home with you as there are no facilities at the falls.
- From Coffs Harbour follow Coramba Rd along the Orara Way to Glenreagh (approx 41.8km), turn right onto Sherwood Creek Road.
- Pass the turn to Sherwood Road on your right and park on the side of the road just before a high timber bridge.
- Just to the right of the bridge is a small trail leading into the bush which goes down to the river.
- Follow the river up for about 20 minutes, passing a small plunge pool initially, to get to the larger pool underneath the waterfall.
