Bongil Bongil National Park

Bongil Bongil National Park, only minutes from Coffs Harbour, is a splendid spot for fishing, hiking and leisurely barbecues.

This unspoiled location has plenty to offer, including wild beaches, sweeping coastal views and peaceful streams.  The park is also a regional favourite for mountain bike adventures and is also home to a large population of koalas.

Pack a hamper, switch off technology and spend the day at the picnic area fitted with BBQ, shelters and toilet facilities.  Enjoy a range of activities such as fishing and kayaking on Bonville Creek, as well as bird watching.  You may be lucky enough to spot one of the many koalas that live in this area.

The National Park is also a great place for bushwalking.  Access the following scenic trails in the Tuckers Rock area via Perry’s, and Tuckers Rock Roads.

Buff Loop Walking Track is an easy grade 2, 2km loop that takes you through dense jungle of vines, plams and rainforest and behind the sand dunes lining Bongil Beach to a lookout overlooking Bundageree Creek.

Bundagaree Rainforest Walk is a easy grade 3, 6km loop that leaves the rainforest at the rocky shoreline of Bundagaree Creek, a place to explore rock pools and simply enjoying the view.
