Hello from Bakarindi Bush Foods!
Bakirindi Bush Foods has had a change of ownership and is run by the Mudyala Aboriginal Corporation which is an Aboriginal owned and run not-for-profit organisation that aims to support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth in the Northern NSW Clarence Valley region. Our aim is to support young people and their families to connect and engage with education in a comfortable and culturally appropriate manner.
The farm has hundreds of Finger Lime trees, 60 Riberries, along with a small patch of Lemon and Aniseed Myrtle. The planting is ongoing with Davidson Plums added. The garlic and chillies used in our products are also grown on the property. Making homemade relishes, chutneys and jams and we make them with the addition of the Australian bush foods. We love explaining the benefits of eating native foods especially that all our products contain NO artificial colourings, flavours or preservatives.
