The Bellingen Spring Plant Fair is just around the corner on Saturday 9 September 2023, 7.30am – 2pm. With a full Park of everything plant related, the focus is on natives, getting more trees in the ground and loving our environment.
As a major fundraiser for The Bellingen Environment Centre Inc (BEC), they present the event twice a year, in Spring and Autumn. The BEC are a dedicated group who share environmental issues, protect environment and biodiversity, and foster proactive responses to climate change. Your attendance supports their valuable work and helps make positive change our region.
An assortment of delicious food, drink, and coffee is also available. The Bellingen Growers Market are on the east side of the park and there’s fabulous music with the Glenn Heath & the Deep Blue Sea. Talks on stage will be in between the music and feature, Biodynamic Agriculture Australia and Sid Hazell talk about biodynamics with demonstration, Luigi Marasco from the Patch and Ian Epic Earth from the Gourmet Gardener will get you moving and motivated to garden and eat with care and confidence. AND for the kids, they will love Martina from Creative Corner helping them make beautiful plant collages and Bonville Nursery gets them involved in a seed propagation on the side of oval.
The Bellingen Plant Fair brings together a diverse mix of people from up and down the coast, creating a vibrant, relaxed, and friendly event for the whole family. It’s a good opportunity to wander through nature, see and buy a large variety of quality, locally grown plants and receive valuable information, education, and understanding about soil, seeds, plants, and environment.
Put the date in your dairy and make the lovely drive to beautiful Bellingen and bonus – drive home with a carload of happy plants, feeling good.
