Bring The Heat At Sawtell Chilli Festival

Are you ready to feel the heat and taste the flavour of the Sawtell Chilli Festival?

Each year on the first Saturday in July, Sawtell becomes a spicy carnival of all things hot and spicy.
Featuring over 70 stalls offering a variety of foods and flavours from some of Australia’s leading chilli manufacturers and producers, as well as local restaurant and cafes showcasing their famous cuisine.

The stalls offer a mix of international flavours, lots of chilli dishes, and chilli product stalls, like chilli jam, chilli salsa, hot small, jerky, and chilli sauces. There’ll be chilli chocolates, chilli drinks and even chilli honey.

Join celebrity guest chef Karen Martini for cooking demonstrations and live music from The Jacks Band on the main stage, located out the front of Sawtell Hotel.

The community stage has local music acts throughout the day and there will be kid’s rides and entertainment.

Seated dining is available at both ends of the street, with seating around and near the main stage area.

Don’t miss out on the annual Chilli Chicken Wing Eating competition, where contestants will ear their way through different levels of hot sauce until they reach for the milk or water that is supplied. Register to enter in front of the main stage, located at the Sawtell Hotel end of the street.

There is a $5 entry fee (under 16’s are free) and any funds left over will go back to Sawtell Chamber of Commerce to spend back in the community. The festivities start at 9am and finish at 4pm.
