Between June and October, increasing numbers of humpback whales
migrate north along the coast to breed in warmer waters, then
return with their calves to summer feeding grounds in the Antarctic.
Whales can be observed from headlands and high points - Muttonbird
Island, Boambee Head, Hungry Head, and lookouts at Nambucca Heads
are all popular locations.
Join a whale watching cruise from the Coffs Harbour Marina and
see them even closer!
