Popla Bellingen is created by the team behind the hugely popular and award-winning Sydney restaurant Bloodwood, and breathes new life into Bellingen’s heritage-listed dining destination 2 Oak Street.
Popla brings to the region a finessed yet unpretentious approach to contemporary organic cuisine and Australian biodynamic and organic viticulture. Seasonal menus are designed around shareable plates and honest, thoughtful cooking – extracting big, bold flavour from the best of the region’s local chemical-chemical-free and organic produce and indigenous ingredients.
The restaurant includes deck dining and an open kitchen as well as a wine bar area, where visitors can drop by for a drink only, as well as for full sit-down dining.
All beer, wine and cocktail spirits are organic or biodynamic and proudly all-Australian, and continue the excellence of the of the offer of Bloodwood, winner of Gourmet Traveller Wine List Awards and SMH Best Drinks List.
