Arts & Culture

In a vibrant and varied community like ours, you’d expect to find a range of galleries highlighting our art & craft.

The versatile work of local artists and artisans in wood, metal, glass, ceramics and paint is on display at galleries across the region – while our folk museums chronicle the past through their exhibits of artefacts and photography.

Culturally within the region there is a strong Indian Sikh representation in and around Woolgoolga, the Indigenous Gumbaynngiirr based at Corindi, and more recently the Sudanese community throughout Coffs.  In addition there are many other nationalities, ethnicities and people from around the world who now call Coffs Coast home.  With them they have brought elements of their culture as reflected through dress, dance and art as showcased at many festival, events and exhibitions through out the year.
