Sawtell is a bright and sunny town of sand, surf and sea. The
township was once a very small fishing villiage where many of
the fishermen working off
Coffs Harbour's wharf had their cabins.
The main street of Sawtell features tall shady trees and picnic
tables on a wide grassed strip that runs through the centre of
the road.
