Make your way to Woolgoolga on Saturday 17 April 2010 for the fifth annual Woolgoolga Curryfest.
It’s shaping up to be another great day full of amazing food, music and dance for this increasingly popular multicultural festival in the beachside town north of Coffs Harbour.
Woolgoolga is home to the country’s largest regional Sikh/Punjabi population and has the first Sikh temple that was built in Australia.
Curryfest, a celebration of community, culture and cuisine, celebrates the cohesiveness and harmony between the Sikh culture and the wider community.
The festival’s patron is renowned actor Jack Thompson, who lives in Woolgoolga.
The exhibitors at the market stalls will have lots of curries and other foods for you to try and there will be continuous music and dance performances to enjoy throughout the day from about 9am to 5pm.
Details about the many activities that will be held that day will be added here soon.
What you can be sure of is that you’ll be able to enjoy lots of music and dance performances by various artists including local bands and Punjabi dancers.
