A fun and exciting new boat trip has been added to Coffs Coast’s already great range of outdoor adventure activities: Eco Adventure Tours to the Solitary Islands Marine Park.
Jetty Dive Centre, which is best known for its scuba diving and snorkelling trips, added the new Eco Adventure Tours to its offerings when it got its new high-powered eco-boat called “Wild Fin” in December 2010.
A fast and adrenalin-packed ride in the fully covered 12-metre boat takes you from the Coffs Harbour Marina out to the marine park in no time at all. And because the rigid inflatable with aluminium hull almost flies across the water, you’ll be very comfortable and won’t have to worry about getting wet.
Not only is the ride itself in this ultra-fast boat great fun, but you’ll soon arrive in the natural playgrounds of wild bottlenose dolphins and, in winter, migrating humpback whales.
Dolphins are fun-loving animals and love to ride the wake of the adventure boat or swim alongside it. When whales are spotted (during their migrating season between May and November), the boat will keep its distance and stay quiet so they won’t be disturbed and you get the best possible look at these majestic creatures.
This Eco Adventure Tour runs every afternoon on demand and goes for one-and-a-half hours, which includes some quiet time watching the dolphins (and whales in winter and spring).
The tour normally costs $49 per person but, for a limited time only, can now be booked for $39 as a special introductory offer.
