Coffs Coast’s liveliest, funniest and most popular annual festival is almost here again: The Coffs Harbour International Buskers & Comedy Festival, which runs for 9 whole days from 24 September to 2 October.
The festival takes place right in the middle of the NSW school holidays, which means many families can come and visit Coffs Harbour from the cities and regions to enjoy the shows.
There will be more than 100 performances in about 25 different shows, spread over 9 days in at least a dozen different locations in Coffs Harbour and around Coffs Coast.
This year's event starts with the first of many free shows in the Coffs Harbour City Centre on Saturday morning 24 September, followed by the always popular Gala Premier Dinner Show, a ticketed event at the Novotel Pacific Bay Resort on Saturday evening.
International comedians and acrobats who will be here for the 2011 event include Mario Queen of the Circus, Reuben Dot Dot Dot, Shirlee Sunflower, Pancho Sandoval Lopez, Patrick McCullagh, Vaughn King, Kiki and Pascal, Street Circus and Victor.
Some of the fabulous Australian acts include Jaimi the Masked Mime, Dr Rhythm, Acro Clown, Tom Richardson and Keogh. You’ll also run into an array of homegrown talents and roving acts on the streets and all over town during the 9 days.
Plenty of free shows take place in Coffs Harbour’s City Square, with an All Day City Centre Spectacular planned for Wednesday 28 September. Have a look at the official program and you’ll see there will be plenty of performances at other venues around Coffs Coast as well.
