The rural town of Dorrigo, located on the picturesque Dorrigo Plateau an hour’s drive from the city of Coffs Harbour, celebrates the centenary of its Agricultural Show on the last weekend of November.
The 100th Dorrigo Show takes place on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 November 2011 at the Dorrigo Showground in the centre of town.
Coffs Coast would like to invite everyone along to be a part of this wonderful event that has been showcasing the varied talents of its residents for a whole century and preserving the town’s proud agricultural heritage.
There will be showjumping, dressage and ring events, livestock competitions, a reptile show, gourmet food and wine, side show alley, vintage machinery, fine arts, photography, handicraft, fresh produce and much more.
On Saturday, there will also be wood chopping competitions, dog high jumps and working trials, a Grand Parade and a fantastic fireworks display in the evening.
If you come along on Sunday, your kids will love the pet show and the fun marionette and puppet theatre show held that day, while the whole family will enjoy watching local and professional teams battle it out in tug-of-war competitions.
The Dorrigo Show runs from 9am to 7pm on Saturday 26 November and from 9am to 3pm on Sunday 27 November 2011.
